Occasional Symphony

Baltimore’s grassroots orchestra

Our mission

Founded in 2012 in Baltimore, Maryland, Occasional Symphony (OS) is a Baltimore-based grassroots orchestra and 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that seeks to create innovative concert celebrations to engage the Baltimore community. Held in distinctive venues not often associated with orchestral music, the ensemble creates an unparalleled experience of hearing live music curated for living spaces. Each program is designed to resonate with the specific venue and occasion and aims to commission and highlight new music to be enhanced and contextualized by more standard repertoire.
